When my dad was 19 he was drafted during the Vietnam War. Someone threatened him once  – well, probably more than once – but this particular time he replied, “What can you do worse than put me in Thailand and make me work on B52’s?”

For some reason when I heard this I couldn’t stop laughing. My dad is my hero.
